Seite 34 - chapter 3 cover (31.aug.2010) | show comments!
sorry, it's really just another boring cover page (although i'm kind of happy because it's already the third chapter). but the next few pages will be so much fun to draw, and i'm hoping to find a little time next week.
so you might wanna check back later in september for an extra update!
other news and stuff:
nothing, really. fantasy filmfest is coming up. this year's festival has some promising movies and i already got tickets for some of them, so i'm excited. can't watch 'the wild hunt' though, cause my friend naomi is getting married on saturday... and i don't have anything to wear yet... i don't even OWN a dress. so it's time to remedy that, i guess? O_o
anyway, i hope 'the wild hunt' will come out on dvd soon. i'd hate to miss that one. did i mention that i love movies?
movie review(s): the a-team: i was really into the series as a kid, so i'm not sure what to make of the movie. it has its fun and action moments, and once or twice it almost feels like the 'real thing'. i didn't like the plot though. too much military crap, not a real a-team kind of story... 3 out of 5 cigars.
the last airbender: how do you fit a 20 episode series in a 90 minute movie? easy - you don't. for someone who's not a fan of the series, it's probably a good movie. 3d was pretty wasted on it though, it often just looked unfocused. 3 out of 5 cool firebender-steelships.
inception: after shutter island, another really good movie with mr. dicaprio. i'm starting to like the guy. and just like him, i don't think i fully understood the story at first. i still don't get all of it, but it was still awesome to watch. 4.5 out of 5 dream layers.
toy story 3: definitely the best movie i've seen this year. at least as good as the first part, maybe even better. it made me laugh, it (almost) made me cry, and the story had me captivated the whole time. again, i didn't need 3d, but it didn't bother me, either. i hope there won't be a part4 because it can't possibly compare to this masterpiece. 6 out of 5 3-eyed aliens. oooooh.
the expendables: didn't expect much more than action, explosions and fx, so i was pleasantly surprised when it was so funny i almost couldn't stop laughing afterwards. so many great one-liners! everything is harder for me cause i'm small. hilarious. 4 out of 5 lucky rings.
salt: not too bad for an angelina jolie movie. but on the one hand it's reeeally far-fetched - left-over cold-war russian moles? please. but on the other hand it is so predictable. who else would be the last russian spy but *spoiler*? 3 out of 5 poisonous spiders.
